chalk white welsh quilt cushion C12

Newly made up from Antique Welsh quilt cloth that was sadly damaged. I have Three beautiful chalk white cushions .

 

In a hardwearing cotton from the Nineteenth Century and expertly hand stitched Welsh patterns of Leaf motifs popular in Ceredigion & Carmarthenshire .

 

These are not perfect , pristine cushions , they are authentic , characterful examples of a long gone craft . The heavy cloth serves as a perfect medium for the delicate stitching and in certain shadowy light looks almost carved .

 

They are sewn all round & contain a plush feather pad to stay plump & soft with daily use.

 

A lovely subtle Welsh accent that will complement busy florals & plaids . Timeless & traditional .

 

Measures 15" square with an 18" pad .
