Hand sewn Welsh cottage quilt, printed florals Q13

Pretty vintage cottage style quilt from Swansea , South Wales . In 1930s` printed floral cotton , festooned with cottage garden flowers , cabbage head roses & watermills . The same printed cloth each side but in different colourways .

 

Pale sky Blue one side & a bold chestnut on the other . Simply quilted with diagonal zig zags , hand sewn with cream thread . The busy cottage print is the feature here . in lovely condition , a sweet quilt that will look great with plaid welsh blankets & white linen.

 

Perfect to layer over the foot of your bed .
