I have a private collection of nineteenth Century & early Twentieth Century Welsh blankets . These are the ones I just can`t bear to part with ; mainly from my home county of Ceredigion , but also from Carmarthenshire , Pembrokeshire & Montgomeryshire .

 

Along with some fabulous vegetable dyed tapestry bedcovers from North Wales , Nursing shawls and Flannel quilts made out of South wales miners` shirts.

 

I also have samples of very early blankets & flannel , including sample books from DERW & Gwili Mills . Along with price lists & brochures & items of social historical interest .

 

Some of my precious collection is already on permanent display in several of the Museums . Whilst the nucleus remains available for exhibition .
