Rare Welsh Quilt

Here`s something you don`t see everyday: a Madder dyed Red Flannel quilt. dating from the c19th . It has been hand made & simply stitched with Red cotton . The reverse is Lavender Grey flannel.

Given its age , it is in extremely good condition. There are a few minor marks on the Red side and some dye bleed from the Red onto the Grey giving it a rather Pink hue in certain lights.

Would make for a super wall hanging or slide seamlessly into a textile collection. Its also suitable for regular , if respectful use.
