An early Twentieth Century hand sewn Welsh quilt with a bright Wholecloth paisley print backing. Rose Pink, Stone & Navy Blue with Ivory & Turkey Red hues.
The front side is a classic stripey quilt with broad stripes of different pastel florals & plain Rose Pink & Ivory . Hand pieced & sewn using turn of the century fabrics , whilst the backing is later Circa 1920s/1930s. Cottons with fleece batting.
A utilitarian quilt made up of odd pieces of left over fabric collected over time.
Such a pretty quilt in marvellous condition. With hand sewn Welsh motifs all over. rebound edges.
