A heavy herringbone twill turn of the century blanket. Simple Black ticking stripes on an undyed cream ground. Bolder stripes across the warp & weft creating a criss crossed border design on each corner.
Machined sewn warp ends with hand sewn selvedges & central seam.
In splendid condition with a sprinkling of neatly executed darns & a fair share of slubs in hand spun yarn. a simple design using old methods of production & demonstrating them at their best.
