Carmarthenshire Stripe

A revived design taken from a fragment of fabric discovered here at Ty Zinc some years ago. The original dating from C19th & typical of hand woven narrow width blankets from Carmarthenshire.

After its first reweaving in 2014 it was chosen to use as the cover for journals presented to the delegates of NATO Wales that year as a gift from Wales & commissioned by The Welsh Office.

Soft fawn & Cream reverse twill highlighted in the stripes. With a pretty detailing stripe of bright colour in between each band. Finished with blanket stitching each end.

Measures 90" x 64" ( 230cm x 164cm)

Will cover the whole of a single bed or turn it sideways to lay over the foot of a double or king. Lightweight with a lovely drape , its the perfect throw to cwtsh up on the sofa too.
