Primrose & Strawberry.

A pretty pair ( at time of listing and sold seperatley) of Soft Mid century plaid Welsh blankets from Bronwydd Mill.

Primrose & Cream ground in a reverse twill, typical of the Gwili Valley mills post war. distinct plaid design consitng of broad bands in Aqua & Strawberry Red. Detailing finer stripes in Daffodil Yellow , Rose Pink & Charcoal. an illusion of Duckegg Green created by crossing the Primrose warp and Aqua weft.

Raised soft nap , a signature of this Carmarthenshire Mill ( one slightly more so than the other) . Both finished with Rose Pink silk blanket stitching and both have a laundry mark in black ink *

Slightly different sizes.

The softer one is the smaller of the two.

* we can remove the laundry mark if necessary by cutting them down and rebinding. This will cost an extra £10 each . Personally I like it . its part of their narrative.
